Palatine House
A Picture of the Palatine House before Restoration. This hand hewn timber frame house was built by Palatine German immigrants to the Schoharie river valley of New York state circa 1780. Other antique millwork, including the hand-beaded ceiling boards, original Dutch style mortise and tenon doors, hand forged iron hinges, and a fire place mantle were also saved.
A separate wing of the Palatine House timber frame now serves as part of the Homestead Farm and Garden Center, as well as classroom space for seminars focusing on traditional homesteading skills. Click here for more information on classes.
