We found this traditional Dutch barn in New York's Schoharie river valley, near the town of Middleburgh. We suspect it was moved at some point in it's history, as have been many of the barns we find. It may have been originally built as early as 1790.
The barn has been completely restored and reerected in the rolling hills of east Texas. Structural insulated panels (SIP's) wrap the entire frame Click here for more information on SIP's. Once finished, the frame will be a multi-level custom home with a huge open great room and over
2500 square feet of living space.
Reclaimed antique siding is being used to finish out the barn both inside and out.
