Settlers Mountain Barn

HOME > Barn-Showcase > Settlers Mountain Barn

This expansive gambrel roofed hay barn was built originally circa 1860 in Cobleskill, NY.  It has been restored as a barn style home in southern Michigan. An interesting feature of this barn home is the galvanized metal silo.  The silo gives the barn’s exterior the feel of a classic 1800’s American homestead, and houses a large spiral staircase to access the three main levels of the barn home.  A ships ladder goes up to a panoramic lookout in the silo’s peak.
